Facilities
Whether stand-alone or part of a hospital or care facility, hospice facilities provide complete end-of-life care.
Though one convention is to consider hospice care when life expectancy is six months or less, entering a hospice facility doesn't mean "giving up." Learn about the different approaches and services of facilities in your area.
Unlike many other medical facilities, hospices tend to:
- Focus on controlling pain, rather than curing illness
- Address the entire family's emotional and spiritual needs
- Provide professional help with grief and bereavement
