Senior apartments are for older adults who can take care of themselves. Generally, they are developed like standard apartments, but differ in that they have an age restriction.
Subsidized housing is a government-supported program for people with low to moderate incomes.
Retirement communities offer older adults apartment living on a rental basis, or sometimes offer units for sale. Communal dining and a range of activities are available.
